Busi has also dedicated a good part of his studies to Jewish culture during the period of Humanism and the Renaissance.

About this theme he wrote a book on the Megillat Ester in ottava rima of Mordekay Dato, with the critical edition of this unpublished text (La istoria de Purim io ve racconto. Il libro di Ester secondo un rabbino emiliano del Cinquecento). Further studies on Judaism in the Renaissance and on the knowledge of the Hebrew language in the Christian sphere are: Sulla Ge chizzayon (La valle della visione) di Abraham Yagel; Traduzioni ebraiche dei vangeli; La Breve raccolta (Venezia, 1649) del polemista antigiudiaco Melchiorre Palontrotti; Un manoscritto siriaco in caratteri ebraici della Biblioteca Arcivescovile di Udine.

Busi edited the proceedings of a Colloquium held at the Warburg Institute in London in October, 2004: Hebrew to Latin, Latin to Hebrew. The Mirroring of Two Cultures in the Age of Humanism. The volume collected the contributions of some of the most distinguished scholars in the field.

In the book L’enigma dell’ebraico nel Rinascimento (2007), Busi gathers the results of almost twenty years of research on the relationship between Jewish and Christian culture in the 15th and 16th century in Italy. The volume contains several essays about the contribution given by some Jewish intellectuals to the construction of the Renaissance. A further topic of interest is the influence of Hebraistic studies on Italian art of the late Quattrocento and early 16th century.
